Diana DZ offers lots of spatial information and depth like the big AB1266, and sounds great with both tube and solid state amps. DZ will drop right into your existing optimized headphone system and sing. Going forward, as your system evolves DZ will scale and reward you for the investment with dynamic life-like sound that's never boring, never annoying, just right.
Diana DZ sounds awesome on a big tube amp like the Woo Audio WA33 JPS Abyss Edition. Overall resolution directs your ears toward very subtle low level details and spatial cues within the large musical soundstage that tubes tend to accentuate. DZ won’t rip apart the recording and the system, it’s more about enjoying the content rather than analyzing it, sophisticated detail within the musical presentation.
Diana DZ is also lighter and more comfortable. This new model is built upon a lightweight machined aluminum frame with a highly engineered internal structure providing strength and acoustics to compliment the new Abyss DZ planar speaker driver. DZ is the lightest Abyss headphone ever produced.
New hybrid ear pads with soft Ultrasuede on the face side come stock, this combines with a further refined internal headband design and relaxed fitment, and the new sling headband completely eliminates top of head hot spots. In all, DZ is 99.9% compatible with any head shape, it’s one of the most comfortable headphones on the planet.

Note: Vegan version comes with cactus leather headband and UltraSuede sling and ear pads. These ear pads have a subtle softening of upper frequencies. Suggest the stock hybrid lambskin/Ultrasuede ear pads if you prefer to maximize detail retrieval. You can also order additional Diana magnetic ear pads including bass ported versions at any time to tailor the sound.
